On one hand, I was horrified by the fact that people were actually buying such a controversial toy. On the other hand, I was amazed at how realistic the dolls could be; they come with features such as programmable facial expressions, sex toys built-in sensors, and realistic body hair.
It got me thinking: when did it become socially acceptable to buy these kinds of dolls? Who are the people buying them? And more importantly, what purpose do they serve? My research quickly revealed that people of all genders and sexual orientations were getting their hands on these dolls to fulfill their fantasies and needs.
Admittedly, I’m still not quite sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, I can understand Penis Rings why some people might feel comfortable turning to a doll instead of a real person. But, on the other hand, I can’t help but feel like this practice is exploitation and objectification of people, not to mention it raises questions about consent.
I’ve also read about people going so far as to dress up the dolls and take them out on dates. Apparently, if you only look at the doll, they can almost pass for a real person. This just further strengthens my belief that this practice is strange and creepy. It makes me question how far people are willing to take this and if it’s truly okay.
As much as I’m still struggling to comprehend the concept, I understand why the demand for these dolls is so high. They can be quite affordable and there’s no risk involved when it comes to emotions or rejections, both of which could be a real problem when it comes to real relationships.
But despite its advantages, I still think that buying an almost-adult sex doll is still questionable and worth discussing. What do you think?
